    Hi Shayne,

As discussed already, I think your story is a bit 'over-populated' when the emphasis needs to be on you conveying your object's behaviour effectively and imaginatively - and you just need a simple, goal-based story as a platform. It feels as if your story is rather more of an action set-piece - like the bit in a movie when the martial arts expert needs to outwit a series of traps and obstacles in order to get his hands on something or perform some important task. The defining characteristic of your object is that it loves to whisk eggs - so clearly 'eggs' are going to be its prime directive - the thing that motivates it beyond all else. If I were you, I'd look for inspiration from some Hollywood blockbusters and superhero flicks for the shot construction and story sequence - you could play this out with some suitably hollywood soundtrack - though technically challenging you could even think about creating a Matrix-inspired 'bullet-time' moment - when you freeze the egg-whisk mid-jump and then you animate the camera moving around it. I think your story is not so much 'what happens' but rather 'how it happens'.

Sometimes, this unit encourages students to work in a very mid-distance, straight-on way - with objects entering and leaving the frame from one side or the other - like characters on a stage. Often, this doesn't truly exploit the potential of the white space of your paper, or give sufficient platform by which you can explore the principles of animation (which is the point of the brief). Check out the animation below for some inspiration...

When you've got your written assignment identified, post it for my attention.
